A: Case management is a collaborative process which evaluates treatment options and coordinates necessary services. Case management is available as a resource to promote quality, cost-efficient outcomes.

Q: WHO PAYS FOR CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES?

A: Most case management services are paid for by an insurance company, an employer, or on a private pay basis.

Q: WHY WAS I REFERRED TO CASE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATES, INC.?

A: A diagnosis, employer, or insurer typically identifies a client in need of specialized, individual services.

Q: WHO ARE CASE MANAGERS?

A: Case Managers include many professionals: registered nurses, social workers, and vocational rehabilitation counselors. Many of the case managers at CMA, Inc. are further licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Division of Registration as Licensed Rehabilitation Counselors (LRC), Certified Case Managers (CCM) through the Commission for Case management Certification, Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurses (CRRN), and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Activities involved in the case management process requires clinical experience, as well as an understanding of today's managed care environment. CASE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATES, INC., demonstrates this by our combined case management experience in excess of 30 years.

Q. Are you the Insurance Company?

A. No, CASE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATES, INC. is a private health care consulting company.  A variety of payors make referrals to CMA due to our staff ‘s expertise in assisting your individual needs. 

Q. Are you going to assist me in obtaining services or take services away?

A. As a health care consulting company, we gather information, identify resources, and communicate with all involved parties.  The culminating assessment includes recommendations in order for a payor to make an informed benefit decision.  CASE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATES, INC. is not a Utilization Review company, we do not determine medical necessity and we do not determine benefits.
